Fashion Police: Zest Of Lemons | Boston Herald

Unlike some of my seatmates at the shows, my face isnt numb from Botox binging, and I can still express joy or horror at whatever comes schlepping down the runway. But I need to work on the degrees of my enthusiasm, or risk another life-threatening incident. You see, last year, an absolutely divine evening gown wafted down the catwalk it had everything chiffon, feathers, a few subtle beads. I let out such a huge gasp of enchantment that I inhaled several feathers and half a sleeve. I stood up and flailed for help, but people thought I was starting a standing ovation. I came to in the hospital, wearing a very un-chic johnny.

Zara.com hide caption itoggle caption Zara.com The clothing retail giant Zara is apologizing and has pulled a kids’ shirt from its stores after hearing complaints that it resembled the uniform worn by prisoners in Nazi concentration camps. In a tweet, Zara said the shirt was “inspired by the sheriff’s stars from the Classic Western films.” Reporting from Spain’s Canary Islands correspondent Lauren Frayer tells our Newscast unit that this isn’t the first time the Spanish retailer has gotten into trouble. She filed this report: “The shirt in question is navy and white striped, with a big gold star on the chest. Zara sold it online in several countries, including Israel. “The company called it a ‘sheriff shirt’ for kids. But many shoppers thought it looked conspicuously like a World War II concentration camp outfit, and complained on Twitter and Facebook.

“Anthropologists write on cargo cults, which are very quirky, small, not very effective movements, but they’re interesting politically because of the kind of rhetoric they produce and the way they galvanize people to express ideas about freedom, sovereignty and protest against inequality. That’s the way I approach micronations.” For anyone who’s ever wanted to tap in to the man who would be king within, here’s a look at eight micronations you can visit. The Republic of Molossia The Republic of Molossia is the befuddling outcome of one man’s childhood project that got entirely out of hand. His Excellency, President Kevin Baugh, first dreamed up his own kingdom in 1977 and it evolved in the late 1990s into a territorial claim within the U.S. state of Nevada. Baugh’s edicts (no products from Texas, no walruses) are as bizarre as his further territorial declarations (a large chunk of the planet Venus, a spot named Neptune Deep in the Pacific Ocean) and while passports aren’t required fashion jewerly to enter Molossia from the United States, they’re recommended and will be stamped upon entry.

4-h’ers Take Projects From The Sewing Machine To The Runway In Fashion Revue | Valley Life

Chappell, who missed the cut on his PGA Championship debut last year, recorded three birdies on each nine while Palmer briefly got to seven under for the outright lead before he bogeyed his penultimate hole, the par-three eighth. McIlroy, with his game in sparkling order, birdied three of his first nine holes to reach the turn in three-under 32 before he hit his second shot at the 10th out-of-bounds en route to a double-bogey. He then bogeyed the par-three 11th. However, the Northern Irish world number one responded in spectacular fashion, reeling off four consecutive birdies from the 12th, before picking up another shot at the par-five last where he comfortably reached the green in two and two-putted. “You have to take whatever you are feeling inside and try and turn it into a positive,” McIlroy said of his rocky ride over 10 and 11. “I was ‘hot’ and it’s (all about) trying to use that fire as a fuel to propel yourself forward “I think it just shows where my game is mentally right now, that I was able to do that today,” added the Northern Irishman, who ended the day level with American Jim Furyk, Italy’s Edoardo Molinari, Swede Henrik Stenson and Englishman Chris Wood.
